Why To Promote Your Business Website on Google and Bing
Promoting your business website on search engines is a great way to encourage increased traffic, capture leads, and make sales. Using what is called search engine optimization, or SEO, businesses use a number of tactics in order to achieve a higher page ranking on Google, Bing, Yahoo, or other search engines.
So for which search engine should you promote your business? Well ideally all of them- but if you have a limited budget for pay per click advertisements and/or must choose which tool to use to select keywords for your web pages and blogs, then the answer is Google. If you are ambitious enough to go for two search engines, make Bing your second choice.
Why Google and Bing and not Yahoo, Ask, or AOL? Well, according to comScore, Google holds the dominant share of the search engine market, and is still growing steadily. In June, 66.8 percent of all search queries were conducted on Google. The runner up, Bing, accounted for 15.6 percent of online searches.
Wondering how to go about promoting your business on Google? Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
· Optimize your website with keywords chosen from the Google Adwords Keyword tool
· Advertise your website or product with a Pay Per Click Advertisement
· Submit your local business to Google Places
· Create a Google Plus page for your business
