Can’t Keep a Consistent Blog For Your Business? Here’s How!
Recent studies have shown that consistent blogging has a significant effect on customer acquisition rates. Blogging for your business is a great way to drive traffic to your website and capture leads but, gosh, it’s a lot of work!
If you are a busy entrepreneur, keeping up with all that is involved in keeping a consistent blog can seem nearly impossible. Researching and writing takes time, and coming up with a steady flow of original topics can be mighty frustrating. So how does everyone else do it? Consider trying some of these tricks of the trade:
Designate a ‘blogging day’
While your blogs should ideally be published on a consistent schedule, it doesn’t mean that you have to write them the day-of. To take a bit of the strain off of your busy schedule, designate a slot of time on one given day every week to research and write the blogs. This way, all you have to keep track of mid-week is hitting the ‘publish’ button.
Ask your co-workers for topic suggestions
Sometimes you just need a fresh perspective. Ask your coworkers to let you know if they stumble upon something interesting online, or come up with any good ideas. You’ll be surprised by how many people are more than willing to lend a hand.
Invite a guest blogger
Guest blogging is becoming wildly popular, and it means that you get to take a little break!
Depending on your industry and how often you are blogging, you may find that whipping up new topics gets harder and harder as time goes on. But here’s the thing- you don’t need brand new subjects. It’s pretty much inevitable that you will have to re-use an idea. The key is to use a different spin or perspective each time. It’s perfectly okay.
Hire a blogger
If you can manage a business blog yourself then our hat is off to you! But if you’re not posting consistently, then it may be time to consider hiring a blogger.
Whatever you decide to do, just make sure that you aren’t missing out on the great benefits that keeping a consistent blog will bring to your business.
